Pre-School
Nutrition and Education Program

With support from the Jiv Daya Foundation (JDF), Sarvahitkari Sewashram is running a pre-school nutrition and education program designed to combat child malnutrition. The program provides daily milk and biscuits to 100 children, ages 3 to 5, at four centers in the Vantangiya villages of Daulatpur, Compart-24, Hathiahwa, and Baluahiwa. These children are coming from vulnerable communities.

On July 7, 2025, the project was formally launched by Chief Guest, Shri Gyanendra Singh, Hon’ble MLA- Paniyara, who inaugurated the program by distributing milk, biscuits, and school bags to the Vantangiya children.

This village-based intervention aims to prevent and correct malnutrition while also providing essential pre-education for the children. The daily meal includes 150 ml of milk, prepared from Amul Spray powder, which contains the recommended dietary allowance of protein, carbohydrates, and fat. Additionally, the formula is fortified with essential micronutrients that promote steady growth and overall well-being. The program is staffed by a team of five- a program coordinator and four community center staff.
